In February our staff raised £240 for Last Chance Hotel – a local charity providing animals in need with invaluable care.
In 2011 Last Chance Hotel was established to meet the need for a South West rescue facility prepared to take on the care of animals that have struggled, for one reason or another, to be rehomed.
The charity works predominately with dogs, but will take in animals of any kind.
Its dedicated team of unpaid volunteers work tirelessly with the animals they rescue to provide them with the support and rehabilitation they need in order to be rehomed. If any animals can’t be permanently rehomed, Last Chance Hotel will provide them with comfort and care for the rest of their lives.
Last Chance Hotel doesn’t have its own rescue centre, but instead places animals with a network of foster families so they can be looked after in a homely environment.
They state: ‘Whilst we offer permanent homes to any animal in need, we specifically offer help to dogs who end up in pounds. The charity strongly believes that all animals have a right to a good quality life, no matter what health, age or behavioural issues they may have. The charity is organised and run entirely by unpaid volunteers.’
You can also follow the team on Facebook if you want to stay up-to-date with the latest events.
